Are future surgeons ready for complex GI procedures? new survey investigates
NCT ID NCT07494318
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study uses an anonymous survey to understand who teaches advanced gastrointestinal (GI) surgery to fourth- and fifth-year general surgery residents in the U.S. It also measures residents' comfort with common and complex GI procedures and their interest in a specialized GI fellowship. The goal is to improve surgical training, not to test a treatment.
