First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This early-stage study will give a single dose of the experimental antibiotic gepotidacin to 20 hospitalized children aged 2 to 12 who are already receiving standard antibiotics for a bacterial infection or as a preventive measure. The main goal is to measure how the drug moves through their bodies and to check for any side effects. The study does not aim to cure or treat the infection directly, but to gather important safety and dosing information for future use.
