First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tested a program called GRACE that helps people in low-resource communities understand their genetic risk for diseases like heart disease and cancer. About 245 patients, along with their doctors and family members, used a web-based tool to enter family health history and get personalized risk reports. The goal was to see if this approach could increase access to genetic counseling and testing, and ultimately improve health outcomes for everyone.
