NCT ID NCT06972407

Not yet recruiting Knowledge-focused Sponsor: Mayo Clinic Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study aims to understand how a specific gene variant, known to increase the risk of type 2 diabetes, affects the function of insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. Researchers will compare 80 people with different versions of this gene by measuring their blood sugar and hormone levels during infusions. The goal is to gather knowledge about the disease's early development, not to provide direct treatment.
