Summary

This early-phase trial tests a gene therapy for Parkinson's disease in 6 adults aged 40-70 with advanced symptoms. A specially designed virus is injected into a brain area called the subthalamic nucleus to calm overactive nerve cells. After surgery, patients take a drug to activate the therapy, aiming to improve movement problems. The main goal is to check safety over 3 months.
