Natural gel may soothe sensitive teeth after whitening

NCT ID NCT07599514

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a gel made from the Libidibia ferrea plant can reduce tooth sensitivity after professional whitening. Seventy-five adults will receive either the experimental gel, a standard desensitizing gel, or a placebo before bleaching with hydrogen peroxide. Participants will record their pain levels daily for two weeks, and tooth color will be measured to ensure the gel doesn't affect whitening results.
