New study tracks hidden tumor cells in stomach cancer surgery

Summary

This study looks at whether tumor cells are found at a specific spot where two stomach membranes meet after surgery for gastric cancer. About 100 adults with stomach cancer will be observed after a type of surgery called proximal gastrectomy. The goal is to learn more about how the disease spreads, which may help doctors plan better treatments in the future.
