First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple test using a water pill (furosemide) can help doctors decide when to safely stop continuous kidney replacement therapy in critically ill patients. The test measures how well the kidneys respond, aiming to avoid unnecessary time on the machine and reduce complications. About 80 adults with severe acute kidney injury in the ICU will take part.
