Scientists probe Gut-Lung link in HIV patients
NCT ID NCT05502653
Summary
This study aims to understand how fungi from the gut might move into the bloodstream and affect lung health in people living with HIV. Researchers will enroll 100 adults with HIV to measure markers of fungal movement, gut health, and lung function over three years. The goal is to learn more about what causes lung disease progression, not to test a new treatment.
