Rugby injury crystal ball? 20 players tested to see if a movement screen can predict who gets hurt

NCT ID NCT06715618

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether a tool called the Functional Movement Screen™ (FMS™) can help predict injuries in amateur rugby players. Twenty healthy adult players from Normandy were tested at the start and end of the season, and their injuries were tracked. The goal was to see if a lower FMS™ score (indicating movement problems) is linked to a higher chance of getting injured, which could help coaches and trainers prevent injuries.
