Fun video exercises could boost balance in kids with cerebral palsy
NCT ID NCT07233824
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a child-friendly core exercise program, delivered via video, can improve balance and mobility in children aged 6-12 with spastic cerebral palsy. Half of the 54 participants will do the Fun-Core exercises at home 3 times a week for 8 weeks, while the other half follow a standard home exercise brochure. Researchers will measure changes in balance and walking ability.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Fun-Core exercise program (child-friendly core stabilization exercises)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a fun, effective home exercise option to help children with cerebral palsy move better and improve their daily life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 54 children. The exercises may not be more effective than standard home programs, and results may not apply to all children with cerebral palsy.
