First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a freeze spray (ethyl chloride) before a corticosteroid injection can reduce pain and anxiety. About 300 adults receiving their first joint or soft-tissue injection for conditions like arthritis or carpal tunnel will be asked to rate their pain and satisfaction. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost technique makes the procedure more comfortable.
