No more Breath-Holds: new MRI scan designed for kids with fatty liver
NCT ID NCT04591106
First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested new MRI and MRE scans that let children breathe normally during the exam, instead of holding their breath. The goal was to see if these free-breathing scans can accurately measure liver fat and stiffness in kids with fatty liver disease. About 135 children took part, and the results will help make liver diagnosis easier and more comfortable for young patients.
