NCT ID NCT06988176
First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether easy-to-do tests for frailty and muscle strength can help predict which adults aged 65 and older are more likely to have problems after major abdominal surgery. About 100 participants will take brief tests during a regular pre-surgery visit and be followed for 90 days after surgery. The goal is to see if these simple checks can be added to routine care to better identify those who need extra support.
