Frailty may predict heart attack outcomes better than current tools

NCT ID NCT07190274

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at how frailty—a state of reduced strength and health—impacts treatment choices and short-term results in people aged 65 and older who have had a heart attack. Researchers will follow 645 participants for 30 days to see if adding frailty checks to standard risk scores improves predictions of death or major heart problems. The goal is to better tailor care for older, frailer patients.
