First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at the forces placed on the tongue and throat during laryngeal surgery. Researchers want to see if these forces cause pain, numbness, or other problems after surgery. The study involves 100 adults having throat surgery. In the first 50 patients, forces are measured without the surgeon knowing. In the next 50, the surgeon sees the forces in real time and can adjust. The goal is to learn if giving feedback can reduce complications.
