Summary
This study aims to understand how the bacteria in our gut (the microbiome) and our diet are linked to major diseases like cancer and heart disease. It will enroll 16,000 adults over 40 to collect health information and samples over time. The goal is to build a research resource to help scientists learn what role our gut health plays in disease risk, not to test a treatment.
