NCT ID NCT07618845
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This early-stage trial will test a new drug called AD-230 in 24 healthy adults to see how food changes the way the body processes it. Participants will take the drug once after eating and once on an empty stomach. The goal is to gather safety and dosing information for future studies in people with chronic liver disease.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
AD-230
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help determine the best way to take AD-230 (with or without food) for future trials in people with chronic liver disease.
What could go wrong
This is a very early Phase 1 study in only 24 healthy volunteers, not patients. It is designed to measure safety and drug levels, not to treat disease. Many early-stage drugs fail to show benefit in later trials.
