Scientists track Kids' bodies to predict who outgrows food allergies

NCT ID NCT07419243

Summary

This study aims to understand why some children naturally outgrow milk and egg allergies while others do not, and how a treatment called oral immunotherapy (OIT) compares. Researchers will follow two groups of children aged 4-10 for about two years: one group receiving OIT and another avoiding the allergen. The goal is to find biological signs that can predict which approach is best for a child, helping families and doctors make better decisions.
