Can simple compression socks boost heart function for rare heart condition?
NCT ID NCT07220226
Summary
This study aims to understand if wearing compression garments (like special socks or stockings) can help improve blood flow back to the heart during exercise for adults with Fontan circulation, a complex single-ventricle heart condition. Researchers will measure heart function in 20 participants using MRI and exercise bike tests, both with and without the garments, to see if they make a difference. The goal is to gather knowledge that could inform future strategies to help these patients exercise more comfortably.
