Brain Scan-Guided therapy could boost depression recovery

NCT ID NCT06152705

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether using a person's own brain scan to guide a non-invasive treatment called iTBS works better than the standard one-size-fits-all approach. About 210 adults with major depression will receive 6 weeks of iTBS, with the treatment spot chosen either by standard methods or by their individual brain connectivity. The goal is to see if personalized targeting leads to higher response and remission rates.
