First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested a new surgical technique that makes glioblastoma tumor cells glow under a special light, helping surgeons remove them more completely. 170 adults with newly diagnosed glioblastoma were randomly assigned to receive either this fluorescence-guided surgery or the standard computer-guided navigation method. The goal was to see if the glowing technique leads to more complete tumor removal and better survival.
