Summary

This study looked at how different amounts of IV fluids given during lung surgery affect a protective layer inside blood vessels called the glycocalyx. Researchers gave 41 patients either a low or high rate of fluid and measured markers of blood vessel damage. The goal was to see which fluid amount might be safer for blood vessel health.
