New algorithm aims to Fine-Tune fluid treatment for failing kidneys in liver patients

NCT ID NCT06525623

Summary

This study is testing a new, personalized guidance system for giving IV fluids to patients with advanced liver disease who develop sudden kidney injury. Researchers will compare this new system against the standard albumin treatment to see which is safer, more effective, and easier for doctors to follow. About 50 hospitalized patients will be randomly assigned to have their care team use the new guidance or the standard approach.
