NCT ID NCT05817539
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether removing excess fluid more quickly (2 mL/kg/h) in ICU patients with acute kidney injury on dialysis improves recovery and reduces the need for breathing machines, blood pressure drugs, and dialysis. About 250 adults will be randomly assigned to either a faster or slower fluid removal strategy. The goal is to see if faster removal leads to more days free from organ support without causing harm.
