New hope for septic shock: small trial tests potential Life-Saving drug combo

NCT ID NCT07451886

Summary

This small pilot study aims to see if adding a drug called fludrocortisone to standard treatment helps patients survive septic shock, a deadly condition where infection causes dangerously low blood pressure. The study will involve 32 critically ill patients in intensive care units across three countries. The main goal is to determine if a much larger international trial testing this combination therapy is practical to conduct.
