First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether an over-the-counter vaginal hygiene system can reduce the number of urinary tract infections (UTIs) in menopausal women. Eight postmenopausal women with a history of repeat UTIs used the system for 6 months. Researchers measured changes in vaginal bacteria, pH, and UTI frequency to see if improving vaginal health helps prevent infections.
