Volleyball players: can a simple band boost your shoulder mobility instantly?
NCT ID NCT07192003
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether using a floss band or a hands-on movement technique can immediately improve shoulder mobility in volleyball athletes. Thirty-six amateur or professional players will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. Their shoulder range of motion, movement fluency, and sport performance will be measured before and right after the intervention.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Floss Band (compressive elastic band) and mobilization with movement (MWM) procedure
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a quick, non-drug way for volleyball players to improve shoulder mobility and performance before games or training.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 36 healthy athletes, so results may not apply to others. It only looks at immediate effects, not long-term benefits or injury prevention.
