First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether taking a daily multivitamin and multimineral supplement for 12 months can improve metabolic, mental, and muscle health in women aged 40-60. Researchers will measure changes in a biomarker called MetaboAge, which reflects overall metabolic health. The trial involves 400 Asian women in Singapore and compares the supplement to a placebo.

Active substance
multivitamin and multimineral supplement
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that a simple daily multivitamin helps midlife women maintain better metabolic health and slow age-related changes.
What could go wrong
This is a relatively small, early-stage trial focused on biomarkers, not hard outcomes like disease prevention. The benefits may be modest or not apply to other populations.
