First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looked at whether high-dose fish oil supplements could improve nerve function in older adults with prediabetes and early signs of diabetic neuropathy. The trial planned to enroll 40 people aged 55–80, giving them either fish oil or a placebo for six months. However, the study was terminated early, so results are limited.
