Two-Day pill trial aims to fight frailty in kidney patients

NCT ID NCT03325322

Summary

This study is testing whether a short, two-day course of a compound called fisetin can help people with advanced chronic kidney disease. Researchers want to see if fisetin can reduce body-wide inflammation, improve the function of certain repair cells, and help with physical strength and kidney function. About 30 participants will take either fisetin or a placebo and be followed for a year to check for effects and safety.
