Police learn to talk with aphasia patients in new study

Summary

This study tests a training program to help police and first responders communicate better with people who have aphasia, a language disorder. 75 officers from the Madison Police Department will take part and be followed for up to 6 months. The goal is to see if training boosts their confidence and knowledge when interacting with someone with aphasia in the field.
