First patients test new pill aimed at slowing advanced cancers

NCT ID NCT03573310

Summary

This was a first-in-human study to test the safety and find the right dose of a new oral drug, JNJ-64619178, for people with advanced cancers that have not responded to other treatments. It involved 114 adults with specific advanced solid tumors, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, or a type of bone marrow disorder. The main goal was to see how much of the drug the body could tolerate and to identify a safe dose for future testing.
