Summary
This study aims to understand if exposure to hazardous chemicals during firefighting increases early signs that can lead to blood cancers. Researchers will enroll 300 Charlotte firefighters aged 40-49 with at least 5 years of experience to test their blood for these early markers. The study will collect health and work history information to help identify risks and provide referrals for follow-up care if needed.
