Summary
This study tracks 300 firefighters aged 40-49 with at least 5 years on the job to see if exposure to hazardous compounds increases early signs of blood cancers. Researchers will test for pre-cancerous conditions like clonal hematopoiesis and monoclonal gammopathy. The goal is to understand how job-related exposures may lead to cancers like leukemia or multiple myeloma.
