Summary

This study is collecting health records from 150,000 people in the US who have chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes. Researchers are comparing the health of people who take the approved drug finerenone with those who don't, to see if it helps prevent heart attacks and heart failure hospitalizations in everyday medical care. No new treatments or visits are required—the study only analyzes existing patient data.
