New risk score aims to detect hidden heart condition before it strikes
NCT ID NCT05898165
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 31, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether a risk score, calculated from electronic health records, could help find people with undiagnosed atrial fibrillation (AF). About 1,955 adults at higher or lower risk for AF wore a remote ECG monitor. The goal was to see if the higher-risk group had more AF detected, so that they could get blood thinners to prevent strokes.
