Could cutting pill doses keep seniors healthier?
NCT ID NCT05307666
Summary
This study is testing if carefully lowering the doses of many common medications helps people aged 80 and older stay healthier. Doctors will work with 1,800 patients who take six or more daily pills to find the lowest effective dose for each one. The goal is to see if this approach helps people live independently longer, reduces trips to the hospital, and improves quality of life.
