New imaging method could predict how breast cancer responds to hormone therapy
NCT ID NCT02409316
First seen Jun 14, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 14, 2026
Summary
This study tested a special PET scan called FES PET/CT to see if it could measure estrogen receptor activity in women with advanced breast cancer that had stopped responding to hormone therapy. The goal was to see if the scan could help predict how long the cancer would stay under control with a new treatment. Only 6 people were enrolled before the study ended early, so the results are very limited.
