Could a poop transplant fix Kids' tummy troubles?

NCT ID NCT05753774

Summary

This study is testing whether transferring healthy gut bacteria from a donor (a fecal microbiota transplant) can help children with chronic functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs), which cause ongoing stomach pain and bowel issues. Researchers will compare this transplant approach to standard treatments in 100 children. They will track changes in symptoms like pain, bowel movements, and sleep quality to see if the transplant is safe and effective.
