Could a poop pill cure your sleepless nights?

NCT ID NCT05917379

Summary

This study tested whether taking capsules containing healthy gut bacteria from a donor (fecal microbiota transplantation) could improve sleep for people with chronic insomnia. 80 participants were randomly given either the real treatment capsules or identical-looking placebo capsules containing starch. Researchers compared changes in sleep quality, anxiety, depression, and gut bacteria between the two groups over one month.
