Poop transplant trial aims to tame diabetes and heart disease

NCT ID NCT07421947

Summary

This small pilot study is testing if a fecal microbiota transplant (FMT) can change the gut bacteria of people who have both type 2 diabetes and stable coronary artery disease. Researchers want to see if altering the gut microbiome can improve metabolic health and reduce inflammation. The main goal is to measure changes in gut bacteria six months after the transplant procedure.
