Can skipping meals and moving more melt dangerous liver fat?
NCT ID NCT04004403
Summary
This study tested whether a lifestyle program combining alternate-day fasting with exercise could be an effective, drug-free way to treat non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). It involved 80 adults with obesity and NAFLD, comparing changes in liver fat measured by MRI. The goal was to see if this specific diet and exercise approach could reduce liver fat and improve the body's insulin sensitivity better than standard methods.
