Can a 5-Day fast help control rising blood sugar?
NCT ID NCT06518798
Summary
This small, completed pilot study tested whether a special 5-day, low-calorie 'fasting-mimicking' diet is a practical approach to study for managing prediabetes in Asian American adults. The main goal was to see if people could stick to the diet and if researchers could run a larger future trial. Researchers also checked for early signs of changes in blood sugar, weight, and body fat after one diet cycle.
