Summary
This study tested whether far-UVC light (222 nm) can reduce infections in elderly nursing home residents. Over 600 residents in 12 Danish facilities took part. Some facilities used the light in common areas or apartments, while others received standard care. The goal was to see if the light lowers hospitalizations from infections like pneumonia and urinary tract infections.
