New drug trial aims to control inherited polyp condition that leads to colon cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether an oral medication called TPST-1495 can reduce the number of polyps in the small intestine and rectum of people with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), an inherited condition that causes many polyps and increases colon cancer risk. The trial will enroll 38 adults who have already had their colon removed as a preventive measure. Participants will take the medication daily for 6 months while researchers measure changes in polyp growth and monitor safety.
