Can doctors help families unlock Life-Saving genetic secrets?

NCT ID NCT05772130

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at a new way to help family members of cancer patients learn about their own inherited cancer risk. Instead of relying on the patient to share genetic test results, doctors will directly contact at-risk relatives to offer genetic counseling and testing. The goal is to see if this approach increases the number of people who get tested and can take steps to prevent cancer.
