NCT ID NCT04573712

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at how apathy (lack of motivation) relates to different types of fatigue in older adults with mild cognitive issues. Researchers compared 30 apathetic and 27 non-apathetic participants aged 65-85. Participants wore activity trackers for a week and completed tests and questionnaires to measure fatigue, motivation, and physical effort. The goal was to better understand the connection between apathy and fatigue, not to test a treatment.
