Summary

This study looked at how difficult childhood experiences before age 18 affect mental health and daily life in young adults aged 18 to 21. Over 2,600 participants from German-speaking Switzerland completed surveys about their well-being, emotions, and social functioning. The goal was to understand the links between early adversity and later psychological challenges, without providing any treatment.
