First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a drug called copanlisib to the usual two-drug therapy (fulvestrant and abemaciclib) works better for people with a certain type of advanced breast cancer (hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative) that has spread. About 24 participants will receive either the three-drug combination or the standard two drugs. The goal is to see if the extra drug helps control the cancer longer and to check for side effects.
